Summer scorcher: share your pictures
http://www.theguardian.com/theguardian/2013/dec/19/summer-scorcher-share-your-pictures Version 0 of 1. Temperatures have soared across southeast Australia, in what the Bureau of Meteorology is calling “this summer’s first heatwave”. Adelaide hit a sweltering 43C on Thursday, with the mercury rising to 40C in Melbourne. The Victorian capital’s train service was severely disrupted, with Metro cancelling 50 services ahead of the heatwave. The heat is expected to continue into Friday, with western Sydney bracing itself for a high of 39 - and 2013 is expected to be Australia’s warmest year on record. With plenty of summer sun ahead, we want to see how you're coping with the heat - staying at the beach, hiding in the shade, or putting your pillow in the fridge to get a good night's sleep. Share your pictures, videos and coping strategies with us, and we'll feature our favourites on the site throughout the summer.
