Heavy snow is causing problems on the roads in Powys, according to emergency services. Three flood alerts are in force, as a further band of persistent rain is forecast to hit Wales.
Police said the A4518 Machynlleth to Dylife road is closed due to "treacherous conditions" after a car left the road and went into a ditch. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has urged people to remain vigilant, and says further flood alerts and warnings are likely to be issued on Friday.
Meanwhile a further weather warning has been issued for Wales as a second band of heavy rain is forecast. Following heavy rainfall on Wednesday, another weather system is due to hit Wales in the afternoon, with south Wales likely to be affected worse.
