Eight fire engines have been tackling a blaze at a cafe at a Surrey theme park. A fire in a cafe at a popular Surrey theme park has forced it to close.

A statement posted on the theme park website said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chessington will be closed today."
"If you had tickets booked for today they will be valid for another day in the future."

London Fire Brigade said about 40 firefighters were at the scene.
A spokesman said the fire was at a cafe and part of an attraction and covered an area of 50m by 50m.
He said 50% of that area was alight but there were no details of which ride or attraction was affected.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said it was assisting the London brigade.
The Metropolitan Police said officers had set up cordons and road closures in the area to assist fire crews.
A police spokesman said there were no reports of any injuries.
He said it was too early to comment on how the fire had started or whether an investigation would follow.
