Man dies after being hit by car in Fraserburgh Assault linked to fatal car incident in Fraserburgh

A man has been killed after being hit by a car in Aberdeenshire. Police are linking an assault to an incident in which a man died after being hit by a car in Aberdeenshire.

It is believed he had been on the road earlier and had either spoken to the driver of a light-coloured car or caused the driver to slow down near to the premises of Gray and Adams. At the same time police were alerted to an incident in the same area in which a man was assaulted.
Police said they were keen to speak to the driver of that car. Police said the events were "linked but separate".
The man who died is thought to be a foreign national. A 20-year-old man has been reported in connection with the assault and is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Monday.
The female driver of the Mercedes was not injured. Police have launched an appeal for witnesses.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward. They would particularly like to speak with the driver of a light-coloured car, who spoke with the dead man before the incident near to the Gray and Adams premises on South Road.
