There has been a blast on a bus in the Nasr City area of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, causing casualties, reports say. One person has been killed and more than four injured when a bomb exploded close to a bus in the capital, Cairo, Egyptian security officials say.
The head of the city's bomb squad has told Egyptian media that at least four people had been injured. The bomb was planted on a pedestrian island and exploded as the bus passed by, a security source said.
Officials say they are investigating whether the bomb had been placed on the bus or thrown into it, reports say. The bombing happened on a busy street in the northern district of Nasr City.
