Fewer than 50 customers are still without electricity following damage caused by strong winds and heavy rain on Thursday night and Friday. | |
Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) estimates that power has been restored to just over 34,000 customers. | |

"All our efforts are concentrated on repairing the parts of the network which have been worst affected by the storm," said NIE's Julia Carson. | |

The areas worst affected by power cuts were the Ards Peninsula, Moneyreagh, Ballynahinch, Dromara, Downpatrick, Crossmaglen, Newcastle, Gilford and Castlewellan. | |
