Version 0 of 1.

Two houses have been damaged in petrol-bomb attacks in the Waterside area of Londonderry which may be linked, the police have said.

No-one was injured in the attacks shortly after midnight in Lapwing Way and Lyndhurst Road.

SDLP councillor Martin Reilly appealed for anyone with information to go to the police.

"Petrol bombs only cause damage and disruption and are very dangerous," he said.

"So it's important that those responsible are brought before the courts so that similar types of attacks can't happen again."

Police have said they are trying to establish a motive for the attacks.
