(about 2 hours later)
Air accident investigators have been sent to a "serious incident" involving a light aircraft in Warwickshire. Air accident investigators have responded to a "serious incident" involving a light aircraft in Warwickshire.
The incident, near Honiley, involves a Cessna Citation 525. The incident, in airspace over Honiley, involved a Cessna Citation 525 which declared an emergency at approximately 13:00 GMT.
The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) described the incident as "serious". A spokesman from the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed the plane landed safely.
Honiley is about seven miles (11km) from Warwick. The aircraft involved is thought to be a light twin-engine jet. He added that there were no other aircraft involved.
Steve Slater from the General Aviation Awareness Council said he believed the Cessna, which is a light twin-engine jet, received minor damage to its wing when flying over Warwickshire.
He said he understood it was going to make an emergency landing at Coventry, but was then fit to return to base in Leeds.
Mr Slater said any AAIB investigation would take place in Warwickshire even though the plane did not touch down in the county.
