Singer Tulisa Contostavlos is to stand trial later this year on a charge of supplying a class A drug.

The star's trial will take place on 14 July, the day after her 26th birthday.

Ms Contostavlos of Friern Barnet, north London, is charged with helping an undercover reporter obtain cocaine for £860. She has denied the charges.

She appeared at Southwark Crown Court alongside her co-defendant Michael Coombs, 35, for a 10 minute preliminary hearing.

Ms Contostavlos denies being "concerned with the supply of 13.9 grams of cocaine" to the Sun on Sunday undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood, between 20 May and 24 May 2013.

Musician Mr Coombs, of Velocity Way, Enfield, north London, has denied a charge of supplying the drug on 23 May.

Judge Alistair McCreath renewed their unconditional bail.

The trial is expected to last two weeks.
