The bodies of Queensland woman Noelene Bischoff and her 14-year-old daughter, Yvana, are to be returned to Australia from Bali on Friday.

The two died suddenly in Bali last weekend after becoming violently ill, with speculation they ate toxic fish.

The Karangasem police chief detective, Adnan Pandibu, said forensic examinations have been completed in Bali and the Sunshine Coast pair will be returned to Queensland where the state coroner will conduct autopsies.

"Tomorrow [Friday] is the plan," Pandibu said when asked when they would be returned.

He said while the laboratory tests have been issued to police, they will not be immediately released.

Indonesian authorities agreed for the autopsies to be done in Queensland following a request from the Bischoff family.

But they wanted to investigate the 29 types of medication found in their hotel room at their resort in Padang Bai before releasing the bodies.
