Daniel Christie death: murder charge laid against alleged attacker
Version 0 of 1. A murder charge has been laid against the man accused of fatally punching teenager Daniel Christie in Sydney's Kings Cross. Shaun McNeil, 25, was arrested at the scene after allegedly punching Christie on New Year's Eve. Christie was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition. On Saturday, after 11 days in hospital, Christie's life support was turned off. Police on Monday charged McNeil with murder. The labourer and self-proclaimed martial arts fighter has also been charged with maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and other assault-related offences.
