A - There wasn't that much choice at my school - Appleby Grammar School in Cumbria. I did the subjects I enjoyed. A - I didn't ever "want to be on TV". I love people and telling stories and I'd worked in radio (presenting on BBC Radio Cumbria) so when a job came up I liked the sound of telly so I went for it.A - I didn't ever "want to be on TV". A - I was working in London at the time as a presenter on Newsround and the editor of Blue Peter asked me to audition. At first I wasn't sure about auditioning. A - LOADS of people inspire me! My brother because he works really hard. Eleanor Oldroyd (BBC Radio 5 Live presenter) because she is humble. Ellen MacArthur (GB sailor) because she achieved something people thought she wouldn't. Gabby Logan (BBC Sport presenter) has always been someone I look up to.A - LOADS of people inspire me! A - I loved kayaking down the Amazon for Sport Relief. That was my challenge in 2010. Every day was an adventure and the team was like my family. A - I would love to do something else but there's nothing on the horizon. A - I'm still working on Countryfile and I'm presenting Conference League and women's football on BT Sport - and I'm writing some fiction books about a young girl who goes on mad adventures! A - It's 2014 - I don't think you have to settle down OR have a career! Some of the most amazingly accomplished woman on telly and in business have kids and a husband!
