A severe flood warning, which indicates a possible a danger to life, has been issued for Cornwall by the Environment Agency. People have been advised to avoid parts of Cornwall's south coast because of "extreme danger" from strong winds, large waves and high tides.
Strong winds, large waves and high tides have prompted the warning for the south Cornwall coast. The Environment Agency issued a severe flood warning for large parts of the coast, which indicates a possible danger to life.
The agency said flooding was expected during the high tide on Monday morning. Flooding has been reported at Newlyn, Penzance, Porthleven and Looe.
