The heaviest rain is expected to clear the east coast on Saturday morning but will be followed by frequent showers and bands of more persistent rain.

On Saturday morning the A490 was closed at Welshpool both ways between A458 and B4388 due to flooding, while several bridges including the M48 Severn Bridge, the Britannia Bridge in north west Wales and the Cleddau Bridge in Pembrokeshire were subject to restrictions due to high winds.
