A child was born over the weekend to a Canadian woman declared brain-dead after a cerebral hemorrhage on Dec. 28. Robyn Benson was 22 weeks pregnant when she was declared brain-dead in Victoria, British Columbia. But at the request of her husband, Dylan Benson, she was maintained on life support in a hospital intensive care unit and removed from life support shortly after giving birth. The case drew wide notice in Canada because of blog posts by Mr. Benson, who announced the birth on Monday.
