A man has been arrested over the death of his wife, who was suffering from multiple sclerosis.

The body of a 55-year-old woman was found on Thursday lunchtime at an address in Camber Close, in the Pound Hill area of Crawley, West Sussex.

Paramedics tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman's 59-year-old husband is in custody awaiting questioning as inquiries continue into the death, a Sussex Police spokeswoman said.

The dead woman's identity and the cause of death will be revealed once a post-mortem examination has been carried out.
