Birmingham City fans unveiled a flag in a protest against the club's owner after he was jailed for money laundering.

A group of supporters in the home stands unfurled the banner in the sixth minute of the team's game against QPR.

Fans said the number six represents wealth in China, the home country of Carson Yeung, who was handed a six-year prison term on Friday.

The club has insisted Yeung's sentence will not affect its operations.

Yeung was convicted on Monday after HK$720m (£55m) passed through his bank accounts between 2001 and 2007.

He resigned as president of Birmingham City FC, director of Birmingham City plc and director and chairman of the club's parent company, Birmingham International Holdings Ltd (BIHL) in February but remains majority shareholder in the club.

His son Ryan, 20, and brother-in-law Shui Cheong Ma, 52, remain on the club's board of directors.

Fans' group the Blues Trust has called on BIHL to sell the club as soon as possible.
