Locals said the shooting took place outside an address on Bell Gardens, Church Road, which is around the corner from Marconi Road.
One local woman said it was the second shooting incident to happen in the area in the past year.

Earlier in the year a house had been shot at and bullets were left embedded in the ceiling, she said.
She continued: "We get community wardens once in a blue moon walking around the estate during the day, but we don't get a lot of police presence around here unless something actually happens, and then there are hundreds of them.
"He was just a young boy. I don't understand why somebody would go and shoot somebody when you are young like that."
Police were distributing notices to local residents asking for help and urging anyone with information to contact Operation Trident, which deals with black on black gun crime.
