The boat is being recovered from the sea by the coastguard and lifeboat. Coastguard rescue co-ordinator Peter Byatt said it was thought the overturned boat was a speed boat, which is being recovered.
The police helicopter and an RAF search and rescue helicopter have been used to carry out searches of the water to assist the coastguard and see if anyone else could be spotted. He said a lifeboat was at the scene and another was searching in nearby Kessingland for any other people who may have been in the boat.
