The bodies of the three people who drowned in Portugal have been returned home to Wiltshire.

Deborah Rose Fry, 48, and Robert Fry, 52, and Barbara Jean Dinsmore, 43, all of Wootton Bassett, died trying to save their children from strong currents.

Inquests into the deaths are expected to be opened this week.

On Sunday prayers were said for the trio at Bartholomews church in the town where the Rev Thomas Woodhouse said candles had been lit in their memory.

The three Britons were killed in strong currents off Praia do Tonel beach near Sagres on 22 October.

Their children were washed ashore with minor injuries.
