South Yorkshire Police believe a missing 15-year-old girl may have travelled to Ireland with a 29-year-old man.

Netradica Anghel, 15, also know as Neta, disappeared from her family home in Rotherham on Wednesday.

Officers said the teenager was thought to be in the company of Pitulan Angel. The pair were travelling in his silver E-class Mercedes, police said.

Police said they were becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: "Inquiries have led officers to believe they are in southern Ireland after the car was seen boarding a ferry at Cairnryan port in Scotland.

"Neta is originally from Romania and speaks both English and Roma.

"She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

"Pitulan is also from Romania and speaks the same languages. He is about 5ft 4ins (1.63m) tall with dark hair and dark eyes."
