A young man has drowned at a popular river spot in Worcestershire. A teenage boy has drowned at a countryside centre in Worcestershire.
West Mercia Police said he was recovered from Five Tunnels, in Redditch, at around lunchtime on Sunday and was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. Three teenagers got into difficulty in a lake at the Arrow Valley Countryside Centre near Redditch just before 12:20 GMT, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
The victim has yet to be formally identified. Two of the boys were recovered from the water and treated for minor injuries.
West Mercia Police said it would be releasing further information after the victim's family had been informed. The third boy was found a little later and taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, where he was confirmed dead.
