The family of a man killed by a Porsche in a hit-and-run crash in Manchester have said they are "devastated" by his death.

Craig Rodger, 25, was knocked down crossing Wilbraham Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, on 10 March. He died later in hospital.

The car used in the fatal crash was found burnt out half a mile away.

A family statement read: "If anyone knows who was driving the car that hit Craig just tell someone."

Paying tribute, they added: "Craig was a normal 25-year-old. He was a loveable pain but he was ours.

"We cannot begin to think of closure until someone does the decent thing and tells us who killed Craig and left him dying in the middle of the road in Chorlton-cum-Hardy that night."

Police released CCTV footage of the Porsche Panamera - registration number MX10 0BK - seen travelling at speed before Mr Rodger was struck near the Spread Eagle pub at about 22:15 GMT.

Two men aged 32 and 25, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, have been bailed until 28 April.
