A court in the city of Mombasa charged two suspects with terrorism-related offenses on Wednesday, two days after they were arrested driving a car carrying pipe bombs and grenades. The police detained the two, suspected of being Somali Islamist militants, after detectives and foreign agents intercepted their telephone communications with suspected insurgents inside Somalia. Officials have said six bombs in the stolen car being driven by the suspects, Abdi Aziz Abdullahi Abdi and Issak Noor Ibrahim, were ready to be detonated.
