Oscar Pistorius, the South African double-amputee athlete, and his girlfriend argued fiercely in the weeks before he killed her last year, and she told him that she was sometimes scared by his temper, according to text messages revealed at his murder trial on Monday. “I’m scared of u sometimes and how u snap at me and of how u will react to me,” Mr. Pistorius’s girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, wrote in one text to him that was read in court by a police officer, Capt. Francois Moller. Captain Moller said that he obtained more than 1,000 exchanges with Mr. Pistorius from Ms. Steenkamp’s phone. About 90 percent of the messages were normal and affectionate exchanges, he said.
