Stratford street stabbing: Two charged with murder

Two people have been charged with murdering a 22-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in the neck on an east London high street.

Mohammed Yasser Afzal, from Forest Gate, was attacked outside a cab office on Broadway, Stratford, at about 20:00 GMT on Monday.

The minicab dispatcher was taken to hospital where he later died.

Gulam Chowdhury, 23, and Nargis Riaz, 21, both of Barking, east London, will appear in court next week.

Mr Afzal had been working at E20 Cars when he was attacked.

A post-mortem examination showed he died of stab wounds to the neck.
