A pupil has received serious injuries after a wall inside an Edinburgh school collapsed and landed on top of her. A pupil has died after a wall inside an Edinburgh school collapsed and landed on top of her.

It is understood the schoolgirl has serious injuries. A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh responded to Liberton High School after a wall within the building collapsed, injuring a female pupil at 10:00.
"She was treated by ambulance staff on the scene, but was pronounced dead."
He added: "Inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing and we are working alongside our relevant partner agencies."
Edinburgh City Council was fined £8,000 in February after a pupil received serious injuries when she fell down a lift shaft at Liberton High School.
Morgan Seaton, a fourth year Liberton High School pupil, was 15 at the time of the accident on 8 December 2011.
