Version 0 of 1.

A security guard in Somalia’s semiautonomous Puntland region shot to death two consultants working for the United Nations shortly after they had landed at the Galkayo airport on Monday, officials said. Nicholas Kay, the United Nations’ special representative for Somalia, said the two victims were advising the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. One victim was British and the other was French, The Associated Press reported, citing British and French officials. The president of the Puntland region, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali, confirmed that the gunman was a security guard and said that he had been arrested, along with an accomplice, another guard. Mr. Ali said an investigation was underway.
