What do I do with an undeserved bequest?

Every week a Guardian Money reader submits a question, and it's up to you to help him or her out – a selection of the best answers will appear in next Saturday's paper.

This week's question I have a nice but troubling conundrum. A woman who I have never heard of (I think she was my late mother's godmother) has left me £2,000. She didn't intend for me to have it, the money has simply defaulted to me, and I feel rather uneasy accepting it. I'm inclined to give at least some of it to charity, or use it to do some good. Or do I simply put it down to good fortune and take my partner on an extra nice holiday? What would you do?

What are your thoughts?
