Alleged secrets breach man charged with burglary Plymouth man denies stealing sensitive documents

A man who was arrested in Devon on suspicion of breaching the Official Secrets Act has been charged with burglary. A man has appeared in court charged with stealing sensitive material during a burglary in Devon.
The 31-year-old, arrested in Plymouth on Friday by Metropolitan Police. Marcin Kostrzewa, 31, was arrested in Plymouth on Thursday on suspicion of breaking the Official Secrets Act.
After being held at the city's Charles Cross Police Station, he appeared before Torquay magistrates on Saturday morning and was remanded in custody. He pleaded not guilty to burglary in Devonport between 21 March and 10 April. Torquay Magistrates' Court heard he allegedly possessed details about Royal Navy warships and submarines.
Devon and Cornwall Police said he had not been charged with any offence under the 1911 Secrets Act. He was remanded in custody and is due at Plymouth Crown Court on 28 April.
