A 19-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 51-year-old Isabelle Sanders and the attempted murder of her 85-year-old partner Norman Busby. A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman in her home in south west Glasgow.
Ms Sanders was stabbed to death in her home in the Crookston area of Glasgow on Wednesday. Paul McManus was charged with killing Isabelle Sanders at her home in Crookston on Wednesday, by repeatedly stabbing her on the head and body.
Paul McManus, from Govan, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. He is also charged with attempting to murder her 85-year-old partner Norman Busby at the house in Raeswood Drive.
He was also charged with assaulting a 33-year-old man and attempting to steal a car. Mr McManus, from Govan, made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private and was remanded in custody.
Mr McManus is expected to appear in court again next week. He was also charged with assaulting a 33-year-old man at a car park near the Spar on Barrhead Road and attempting to steal his car.
He will appear at court again next week for a full committal hearing.
