Inquest held into James Lock's sudden death in Swansea

An inquest into the death of a 15-year-old boy, whose body was found in woods close to his school in Swansea, has been opened and adjourned. James Lock's body was discovered in Hendrefoilan Woods near Olchfa Comprehensive School in Sketty at about 09:30 BST on Thursday. Swansea Coroner Phillip Rogers said he was awaiting the results of toxicology and post mortem examinations. He adjourned the inquest until September. James's parents Sarah Jones, 42, and Andrew John Lock, 51, attended the short hearing in Swansea. Mr Rogers told them: "I'm very sorry you have to be here today in these circumstances." The teenager's body was released to his family ahead of his funeral later this week. South Wales Police are investigating the schoolboy's death and say his death is being treated as unexplained. A 17-year-old girl who was arrested on suspicion of making a "grossly offensive" comment on Facebook after James's death has been released on police bail. |
