Police searching for missing student Matthew Jordan have found a man's body in the water at Windermere. A body found in the water at Windermere is that of missing student Matthew Jordan, police have confirmed.
Officers spotted the body at 10:19 BST. The 20-year-old, from Middlesbrough, was last seen early on 27 March in Bowness-on-Windermere after becoming separated from friends on a night out.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Cumbria Police said the student's family have been notified. About 1,000 volunteers had taken part in search efforts.
