Five people were killed in a late night knife attack at a house party in Calgary, police in the Canadian city have said. The son of a policeman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing deaths of five people at a house party in Calgary.
A male suspect fled but was tracked by a police dog, then captured. The attack, considered the worst mass murder in the city's history, occurred shortly after 01:00 local time (07:00 GMT) on Tuesday.

The victims were all in their late teens or early 20s, Calgary police told the BBC. The unnamed male suspect is said to have been a student at the school.

The suspect - said to be the son of a 33-year veteran of the Calgary police force - was invited to the party where he used a large knife to stab the victims one by one, Mr Hanson added.
Three male victims were reportedly found dead at the home, while a female and male later died at a nearby hospital.
