A man and woman found dead in a Nottinghamshire house were stabbed, it has been confirmed.

The pair were found after police went to a house in Hardwick Road East, Worksop, on Monday morning.

Officers said formal identification was now expected to take place later on Wednesday and house to house inquiries were continuing in the area.

A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in hospital receiving treatment.
