A British Transport Police representative said: "BTP officers are currently at the scene, alongside colleagues from North Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service. A spokesperson for TransPennine Express said trains will not run between York and Scarborough until "at least 18:00". A rail replacement bus service is in place for those stations affected.
