A British transport police spokesman (BTP) said: "I can confirm that the man who died after being struck by a train between Dodworth and Silkstone Common in Barnsley on Saturday, 12 April 2014, was Kenneth Wheatley, 62, of Cliffe Crescent, Dodworth, Barnsley.
The 68-year-old man from north Norfolk was taken for questioning at the Aylsham police investigation centre, near Norwich, and released on bail until 1 September 2014. "The incident, which was reported to BTP just before 8am on 12 April, is being treated as non-suspicious."
