UUP 'back' In Coleraine, it was a double victory and double confusion for two Ulster Unionist candidates who both share the same name.
The Ulster Unionist Party increased its vote in a local government election for the first time in over 20 years. Andrew Wilson was elected at both the Mid and East Antrim counts.
"We're on our way back, we're building, we've bottomed out. Those long dark years for the Ulster Unionist Party are over, the UUP is back," party leader Mike Nesbitt told the BBC.
As predicted by the Traditional Unionist Voice leader, Jim Allister, the party is now in double figures sitting on 10 seats. Jolene Bunting has won a seat in Belfast for the TUV.
UKIP is now on three as are the Greens.
The Progressive Unionist Party is on two - its share of the vote has quadrupled, although that is from a low base.
Missing votes
In Sperrin DEA, Derry and Strabane, counting is under way for the third time.
Meanwhile, in Newry, Down and Ards, counting continued late into the night. The Slieve Gullion DEA had to be recounted amid talk of a couple of dozen missing votes.
BBC NI reporter Conor Macauley said: "The 25 missing votes in Slieve Gullion DEA have now been reconciled. The last seat will be sorted on Saturday morning."
