Canadian police have confirmed an ongoing shooting in the New Brunswick city of Moncton, amid reports people have been hurt. A manhunt is under way in the Canadian city of Moncton, New Brunswick, after three officers have been shot dead and two wounded.
The Royal Mounted Canadian Police have warned people to "stay inside, lock your doors" and told motorists to stay away from parts of the city. Police said they were searching for Justin Bourque, 24, who was "armed and dangerous", and tweeted a picture of a suspect with weapons.
A nearby hospital has said it has received two people with gunshot wounds. Officials have warned people to stay inside and lock their doors.
Police helicopters are over the city as an apparent manhunt is under way. A police officer told the Associated Press news agency the search was concentrated around two streets.
