Police and Anglian Water staff are working to clear water in several areas but some motorists are failing to heed the wet conditions and have been driving at speed through standing water causing further issues for those working to clear the area, police said.
With heavy rain forecast for the weekend and the likelihood of standing water on many roads, police are asking motorists to take care.
Insp Adam Haye said: "Motorists should drive to the conditions and allow extra time for any journeys.
"Standing water and heavy rainfall makes driving conditions hazardous and I would urge motorists to reduce speed, use headlights and increase the distance between you and the car in front."
