Australian-born entertainer Rolf Harris has been found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault. His career as a singer, painter and TV presenter spanned decades, but during his seven-week trial, prosecutors portrayed Harris as a "Jekyll and Hyde" character who had a darker side to his personality.

Rolf Harris's career has spanned decades. In the 1950s, he could be seen in a BBC children's television show with a character called Willoughby, who would come to life as he was drawn.

He had a regular spot on the 1960s variety show A Swingin' Time, which also featured guests including jazz legend Kenny Ball and singer Cilla Black.

His own series, The Rolf Harris Show, started in 1967 and would run in various formats throughout the 1970s to the early 1980s.

He had a number of chart hits during his career, and appeared on Top of the Pops to perform Two Little Boys, which reached Number One at Christmas 1969.

Harris, seen here on the long-running Playschool programme, was a favourite on children's television.

In 1977, Harris was made an OBE, receiving the honour at Buckingham Palace, accompanied by wife Alwen and daughter Bindi, who was then 13.

Harris was a familiar face on television in the 1980s. After hosting his own BBC One show, Rolf Harris Cartoon Time, he went on to present Rolf's Cartoon Club on ITV.

In 1994, Harris hit television screens again with BBC One's Animal Hospital. What was intended to be a one-off show about a veterinary practice in north London proved so popular it became a series that ran for a decade.

As well as Animal Hospital, Harris presented other wildlife shows, including Rolf's Amazing World of Animals.

Rolf Harris appeared at Glastonbury Festival several times - including here in 2002 - where he would perform his version of Led Zeppelin's iconic Stairway to Heaven.

He presented several art programmes on the BBC in the early 2000s, including Star Portraits, which featured celebrities including Michael Parkinson.

In 2006, he was commissioned by the BBC to paint a portrait of the Queen to mark her 80th birthday.

Along with fellow Australian Kylie Minogue, he took part in the 2012 Diamond Jubilee concert.

After his March 2013 arrest, Harris was charged and he went on trial at Southwark Crown Court in May 2014.
