Italian police have released footage showing inside the wrecked cruise ship, Costa Concordia, weeks ahead of an operation to remove the vessel.

The Concordia struck a reef off the island of Giglio in January 2012 and capsized, killing 32 people.

Engineers wrenched the ship upright in September 2013, and have been attaching huge tanks to its sides so it can be towed away in the coming weeks.

The ship is to be taken apart in its home port, Genoa.
