Nigerian soldiers blocked roads, fired shots into the air and burned several buses in Lagos on Friday after a fellow soldier was killed in a bus accident, officials said. The soldiers were reacting to the death of a comrade who was hit by a bus while riding a motorcycle, said Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, director general of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency. Nigerian bus drivers have a reputation for reckless driving, but it was not clear who was at fault in the accident.
