Police were called to North Street in Sandown overnight after a man's body was found lying on the pavement. The victim is thought to be a 44-year-old local man. He was found lying on the pavement in North Street in Sandown at about 23:00 BST on Friday.

The road remains cordoned off at its junction with Cross Street while a forensic investigation is carried out.
Det Ch Insp Nick Heelan said: "We are still in the very early stages of our investigation and are keeping an open mind about what has happened.
"We've already had a good response from members of the public who were in the Cross Street area last night and I would like to thank them for their assistance.
"I'd also like to thank people for their patience while the roads are closed."
The arrested man, who is from Sandown, remains in custody.
