Natalie Thomas, 25, of Whitland, Camarthenshire, offered to help with the fund which was set up after Laura Rees, 22, died in a car crash on her way to be fitted for a bridesmaid dress in 2012. An earlier hearing at Llanelli Magistrates' Court was told Thomas organised a charity night, including a quiz, karaoke and an auction to help raise money in her friend's memory.
Nursery worker Ms Rees, of St Clears, near Carmarthen, died in October 2012 in the head-on collision on her way to have a bridesmaid dress fitted.
She was later buried in the dress.
