A 24-year-man has been charged with rape, false imprisonment and indecent assault. A 24-year-man has been charged with the rape, false imprisonment and indecent assault of a girl in County Down.
The charges relate to a serious sexual assault in the Dundrum area of County Down during the early hours of Sunday morning. Radoslaw Browarek, who is originally from Poland, was driven into Newtownards Magistrates Court under police guard.
Details of the incident have only just been released by the Police Service of Northern Ireland. The accused, of Church Avenue, Dundrum, spoke only to confirm he understood the charges made against him.
The man is expected to appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He was arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a girl in Dundrum early on Sunday.
A police officer said he believed he could connect him with the charges.
He was remanded in custody, and is due to appear again via videolink on Thursday.
