A man has been critically injured in a reported gas explosion in a Cambridgeshire village. | |
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an explosion at The Produce Connection Ltd, a potato supply company on Ely Road, Chittering at 08:53 BST. | |
Two crews were sent to the scene, a spokesman said. | |
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed the man had been taken to hospital. | |
A spokesman said: "We dispatched several resources to the scene including two ambulances, an ambulance officer, an air ambulance, and our hazardous area response team. | |
"One person has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital by land ambulance with critical injuries. | |
"There are no further casualties and all ambulance resources have now left the scene." | |
A spokeswoman from The Produce Connection Ltd said staff had not been evacuated from the building. |
