The 28-year-old from Yeovil, Somerset, was driving a Peugeot GTI and failed to stop when requested, said police. The Peugeot hit a road sign and the man was struck by the vehicle after getting out of the crashed car. He suffered a serious arm injury and was taken to Dorset County Hospital. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. The crash was on the B3146 at Osehill Green, just off the A352 near Sherborne, on Saturday. A road closure was in place as investigations took place. Sgt Dave Stroud, of Dorset Police's traffic unit, said he was looking for witnesses to the "manner of driving of either vehicle" to come forward. |
