The artwork Cry Havoc by South African artist Mary Sibande is pictured at the International Jorbug Art Fair in Johannesburg on Friday. Sibande's sculptures have previously focused on a figure called Sophie, a domestic worker, usually dressed in blue. She told the Mail and Guardian newspaper last year that she was now moving onto the colour purple, often associated with privilege and riches. "Colour is important in South Africa - we make it important. Colour places you, colour tells where you are within the geography of South Africa," she said.
