A woman has been found beheaded in a back garden. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after officers found a woman beheaded in the back garden of a London suburb.

Scotland Yard gave few details but said that a man had been arrested. The Metropolitan police gave few details but said that the arrest had taken place.
The force said: "Police were called to an address in Nightingale Road at 13.07 today to reports of a stabbing incident. On arrival officers discovered a female collapsed in a garden area. The incident, coming two days after video of a terrorist beheading of a US journalist gained widespread media coverage, sparked speculation as to its cause.
However, the attack on the woman is not believed by police to be terrorist-related and hours on from the incident specialist counter-terrorism officers were not involved in the inquiry, which they would be if violent extremism was suspected.
Paramedics called to the scene realised the victim was dead immediately on their arrival at the scene, such was the severity of her wounds.
London ambulance service had dispatched the air ambulance to the scene in the hope the victim's life could be saved.
The Metropolitan police said: "Police were called to an address in Nightingale Road at 13.07 today to reports of a stabbing incident. On arrival officers discovered a female collapsed in a garden area.

There is no suggestion that the killing had any terrorist motive. London ambulance service said: "Sadly the woman was found dead at the scene."
